Problems because of high temperature

High temperature causes problems. CPU and GPU are ok but USB-C port shuts down and can't use mouse and keyboard anymore.
Next saturday the new cooling solution will arive (I hope).

So far so good! It arrived a day early so I´m testing it right now.
Idle temperatures dropped by 15 degrees.
 

I decided tp sell 2 of my laptops and some chromebooks and building myself a new desktop pc.

Do al AMD graphic cards give problems in some maps?

I was looking for a 6950 or 7900 xt but better go looking for a Nvidia card then.
a pitty. The AMD cards are a way better deal.

your pick was good with the 6950 ,7900xt not worth the extra lordsnooty got 6950 and has  NO PROB RUNNING AAPG .what cpu did you go for?

I'm thinking of a build based on a AMD Ryzen 7 7700X cooled by a Noctua NH-D15, and a ASUS RTX 4080 Noctua in a Fractal Design North case. Replace the case fans by Noctua fans.
G-Skill Flare memory, Corsair P5 plus SSD and Seasonic power supply. But since you don't have any issues running AAPG with a AMD GPU I might chance the GPU to a 6950 XT (very good prices at the moment).

You should be able to get the 7900xtx for thwe  price a 4080 if not cheaper
 

I know, The 7900 xtx prices start at ~ 1000 euro. This Noctua 4080 goes for ~ 1550 euro. I can buy even 2,5 AMD 6950 XT's for that money. The problem is that only the 4080 is available as a Noctua edition. The 3070 and 3080 Noctua editions are sold out.

I believe Crash has a AMD system aswell, but not having problems? maybe he can shine a light on that. 

Yep, got rid of my AMD early last year because of all the problems with it. Even when I found a driver version that "worked" most of the time (e.g. only 2 or 3 crashes a day vs every other map) it was still a massive pain in the six.

Have not had a single problem since switching... same windows installation, same other components. Just a AMD<>nvidia swap.

The graphic card is on its way ......it's a Nvidia card.
